COMMUNITY...
Welcome to Sooke
Silver Spray is located at the entrance to the Sooke Harbour Basin and is a part of the Municipality of Sooke, named for the T'sou-ke Coast Salish First Nation who first inhabited the area. The name "T'Sou-ke" refers to a species of stickleback fish once numerous in the Sooke Basin.
Located 35 minutes southwest of Victoria, BC, this picturesque west coast community includes Sooke and East Sooke, bordering Sooke Basin and Sooke Harbour. Both the harbour and basin are well protected from offshore winds providing excellent kayaking opportunities, sheltered boat launch ramps, and moorage. Marina facilities are available as well as cruises, whale watching tours and many fishing charters and guides.
Sooke and the South Island Region enjoy a relaxed, casual lifestyle in a rural setting, while affording many of the amenities of city life thanks to its proximity to Victoria.
